Parent & Friends Association
The PFA started the school year with the summer fete. This had been postponed from July 2022 due to the extreme heat. This was the first fete since 2019 after which COVID restrictions came in place and it seems it was an event dearly missed judging by the turnout. We had beautiful weather, a great variety of stalls, delicious food and baked goods and heaps of volunteers. As well as guest appearances from Redbridge Mayor, various mascots and the Amazing Spiderman! A massive thank you to all those who contributed by donating, volunteering, baking and turning up.
The PFA held their Annual General Meeting on 31 October 2022. It was great to see a good turnout by parents. Nominations for committee members were taken and the following were elected/re-elected:
- Chairperson: Ameena Gilani
- Treasurer: Claire Ennis
- General Secretary: Sandra Mallett
- In addition, 4 new parents have agreed to be committee members.
Our first event of 2023 was the return of the annual Quiz Night! This event proved hugely successful. Everyone who attended had a great time, it was an entertaining quiz and a wonderful social event.
The PFA are planning more fundraising events throughout 2023 so please keep a look out for updates via the school and this page.
The PFA is open to all staff and parents at Newbridge and Hatchside School. Anyone interested in being involved should contact Ameena at newbridgepfa@gmail.com
